1. Data we process

hectorcloud.es is a portfolio site. It requires no sign-up and collects no personal data, unless you contact us voluntarily (e.g. via LinkedIn or email).

2. Necessary storage

We store in your browser a language preference, the theme (light/dark) and your analytics cookie decision (hc_cookie_consent). These are essential and require no consent.

3. Google Analytics (with consent)

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure usage in aggregate. It only loads if you accept in the cookie banner; until then it does not run. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR). Provider: Google Ireland Ltd.

4. Matomo, cookieless measurement

We also use Matomo, self-hosted on our own servers (matomo.hectorcloud.es), in cookieless mode: it stores nothing on your device and processes data anonymously and in aggregate (with anonymized IP). It therefore works with or without your consent, under our legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) to improve the site.

You can opt out by enabling your browser's Do Not Track option, which we honor, or via this opt-out form: Opt out of audience measurement.

5. Managing your cookie decision

To change your Google Analytics decision, clear the site data in your browser (or the hc_cookie_consent key) and the banner will appear again.
