Real-time video game platform foundation

Technical foundation for several Android games connected to .NET servers, with shared users, shared data and currencies, real-time communication, and operational dashboards.

2017 - 2021Role: Co-founder and technical owner for servers, APIs, Android games, dashboards, and ecosystem operations.

Challenge

Prevent each game from becoming an isolated technical island and create a common platform able to scale, share state across products, and keep live matches observable.

Solution

Designed .NET Core/.NET Framework servers and APIs, real-time communication, coordinated caches, cascade notifications to propagate changes, and dashboards for live match supervision.

Technical decisions

  • Common platform to share users, data, and currencies across multiple games.
  • Real-time communication with .NET servers and mechanisms prepared to scale.
  • Cascade notifications and dashboards to keep servers, caches, and matches synchronized.

Impact

Reusable base to launch and operate several games with less technical duplication, shared economy support, stronger server control, and better reaction capacity during live matches.

Results

  • Less technical duplication by reusing common services across games.
  • Better match visibility and reaction capacity during live operations.
  • Shared economy support through reusable users, data, and currencies.
